Joan J. Almeida, age 75, of Poughkeepsie, died Saturday, December 20, 2014 at home in Poughkeepsie. Mrs. Almeida was born March 3, 1939 in Port Chester, NY. She is the daughter of the late Evelyn (Brown) Richardson . She married Frank Almeida in Port Chester New York. She was predeceased by her husband, Frank Almeida on 1968. She was employed by United Hospital Port Chester New York as a(n) Transporter. Joan had a green thumb, she loved to plant and garden. She is survived by one daughter: Evelyn R. Almeida of Poughkeepsie, NY and one son: Allan F. Almeida of Jacksonville, FL; ; she also has one grandchild, one great-grandchild. Daughter And Son In-law, Joyce And Levon Mouzon of Bronx, NY; Daughter And Son In-law, Yvonne And Donato Green Sr. of Poughkeepsie, NY; Grandchildren, Fourteen Grandchildren; Great Grandchildren, Eleven Great Grandchildren.
