I met Joe at IBM in 1960. He was one of my longest lasting friendships. He was a dear friend and a good man. My condolences to Irene, Jeff, Jane and Amy. We raised out families together and I have many good memories of those times. And, we worked together, along with many others to create a semiconductor technology capability in IBM superior to the rest of the industry. He was proud of the Marines and worked to see that others got recognition for what they did, but sought none for himself and talked little of his experiences. He epitomized the Marine motto, Semper Fi".

Joe was my roommate at college. He was 5 years older and much wiser than me. He was my Hero and my mentor in many aspects of life. I miss him and will never forget him. Semper Fi Marine Skip
