Obituary of Eleanor Ward

Eleanor J Ward, age 92, of Staatsburg, died Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center Poughkeepsie, NY. Eleanor was born February 7, 1922 in Poughkeepsie, NY. She is the daughter of the late Joseph and the late Victoria Pretak. She was first married to Frank C. DiPilka her predeceased her on April 23, 1951, Eleanor was married for a second time to Myron B. Ward he also predeceased her on August 5, 1980. She was a retired employee of the James Byrnes International Company and Wire O in Poughkeepsie, New York. Eleanor loved to cook and loved to always make sure her house was cleaned. She is survived by two sons: John F DiPilka of Staatsburg, NY, Louis J DiPilka of Staatsburg, NY; she also has four grandchildren, Dustin DiPilka, Shawn DiPilka, Kory DiPilka and Dawn Gross. Eleanor was predeceased by her son Steven DiPilka and her brothers and sisters. Calling hours will be 2pm to 6pm Sunday, January 11, 2015 at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY. The funeral will be held 11am on Monday, January 12, 2015 at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY.
