Obituary of Therese Breitfeller

Therese R. Breitfeller, age 86, of Poughkeepsie, died Sunday, January 11, 2015 at home in Poughkeepsie. Therese was born April 11, 1928 in New York, NY. Therese and her parents moved to Ireland in 1934. She is the daughter of the late John and the late Susan (Brown) Burns. She married Richard J. Breitfeller in New York City. Richard J. Breitfeller predeceased her on December 30, 2014. She was a retired employee of the Taconic DDSO where she worked as a patients aide. Therese was the matriarch of the Breitfeller family. Her vivacious personality was contagious to everyone around her. Therese was proud of her Irish heritage and enjoyed spending time with her family listening to live Irish music. She is survived by one daughter: Susan Breitfeller of Poughkeepsie, NY; Son And Daughter In-law, Richard J. and Barbara E. Breitfeller of Poughkeepsie, NY; Son And Daughter In-law, Brian And Pat Breitfeller of Jacksonville, FL; Daughter And Son In-law, Eileen A. And Joe Zawistowiski of Poughkeepsie, NY; Granddaughter, Melissa Breitfeller; Grandson, Brandon Breitfeller; Grandson, Kyle Breitfeller; Grandson, Hunter Zawistowiski.
