Steven R. Cooper, age 60, of Poughkeepsie, died Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at home in Poughkeepsie. Mr. Cooper was born April 20, 1954 in Bronx, NY. He is the son of Dennis and the late Gladys Cooper. He married Jacqueline James on December 12, 2003 at Poughkeepsie, New York. He served in the United States Navy. He was employed by MTA as a Engineer. Mr. Cooper was a member of Transport Workers Union of New York. He likes to read and was a local resident since 2003 He is survived by his wife: Jacqueline(James) Cooper of Poughkeepsie , daughter: Frankee Cooper of Washington, DC, son: Tyrell James of Poughkeepsie, NY; his father Dennis Cooper; two brothers: Dennis Cooper Jr. of New Rochelle, NY and Edward Cooper of East Stroughberg, PA. Steven was also predeceased by his Sister, Gladys. The funeral will be held on at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY with officiating.
