Obituary of Barbara Barton

Barbara A. Barton, age 68, of Poughkeepsie, died Friday, January 30, 2015 at home in Poughkeepsie. Barbara was born October 7, 1946 in Poughkeepsie, NY. She is the daughter of the late James and the late Catherine (VanNostrand) Barton. She retired from IBM Poughkeepsie as a Secretary in 1993 after working there for 30 years. Barbara was a local resident all her life. She was a graduate of Arlington High School Class of 1964. Barbara loved her cats, she enjoyed crafts and gardening. She is survived by her nephew and his wife, John " Jack" and Beth Van Norstrand of Poughkeepsie, NY; nieces , Emily and Molly Van Norstrand of Poughkeepsie, NY. and Many close friends who loved her and will greatly miss her. In keeping with Barbara's wishes Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. the Family asks that memorial donations be made in Barbara's name to the ASPCA Violet Ave. Hyde Park, New York 12538 Funeral Arrangements were handled by the Timothy P.
