Obituary of Doris Reyes

Doris Reyes, age 75, of Poughkeepsie, died Friday, March 13, 2015 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center Poughkeepsie, NY. Doris was born April 7, 1939 in Bronx, NY. She is the daughter of the late Herman and the late Faye (Belzer) Brandt. She married Hector M. Reyes on November 23, 1962 in Yonkers, New York. Doris has been a local resident since 1994 previously living in the Bronx and Harrison, New York. She was a retired employee at Kemwell in Harrison, New York where she was the Mail Department Supervisor. Doris also was and Aide for the Harrison and Wappingers Schools District. Doris did volunteer work at Castle Point VA Hospital, she loved to go out to dinner, was a avid reader and enjoyed watching movies. She is survived by her husband: Hector M. Reyes of Poughkeepsie, NY., daughter Gayle Reyes of Poughkeepsie, NY; daughter and son In-law, Faye and Joseph Flock of Goshen, NY., cousins Clare and Les Biggins and Wendy Blezer. Doris is also survived by her brother in-law Edwin Reyes and his wife Ada, sister in-laws Sally Rentas and her husband Jose and Vilma Reyes and many nieces and nephews. Doris was also predeceased by her Daughter, Lee Reyes in 1966 A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 from 4pm to 7pm at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY. There will be a prayer service held during the Memorial service. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
