Obituary of Vivien Grau
Vivien M. Grau, age 85, of Poughkeepsie, died Friday, April 10, 2015 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center Poughkeepsie, NY. Vivien was born October 26, 1929 in Brooklyn, NY. She is the daughter of the late Herbert W. and the late Vivien M. (Sullivan) Martin. She was married to LeRoy Dunn from 1949 until 1972. She was married to Carlos Graufrom 1983 until 1994 he predeceased her in 1994. Vivien started her working career as a NY Telephone Operator, she also worked at Alexander and Alexander as the Chief Telephone Operator and was a NYS Real Estate Agent. Vivien was a member of Friendship Club, Town of Poughkeepsie Seniors Club. She enjoyed going to the Town of Poughkeepsie Library, was an avid reader, loved doing crafts and knitting. Vivien also owned several Craft Stores throughout the Brooklyn NY area.She is survived by daughters: Vivien Loughran and her spouse Kim Culligan of Poughkeepsie, NY, daughter Barbara DiVito of Las Vegas, NV, Daughter Margaret Turner of Albuquerque, NM; son Roy Dunn and his spouse Christine of Rockaway, NJ; son Thomas Dunn and his spouse Lynda of Clifton Park, NY; son James Dunn and his spouse Laurie of Fiskdale, MA; twenty grandchildren and twenty-four great-grandchildren. Vivien was also predeceased by her son-in-law, Michael DiVito.Calling hours will be Monday, April 13 from 6pm to 8pm at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:00 am on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at St. Martin DePorres Church, Cedar Valley Road, Poughkeepsie, NY.
