Obituary of Georgina Sorcie

Georgina M Sorcie, age 60, of Poughkeepsie, died Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at home in Poughkeepsie. Georgina was born January 5, 1955 in Alexandria, VA. She is the daughter of the late Donald and Gwendolyn (Carnaghan) Berger. She was married to Jim Sorcie, he predeceased her. Georgina was a home maker, she loved to collect reptile frogs, crocheting and she loved being with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her mother Gwendolyn Brown; son Michael Brown and his wife Kelly of Kerhonkson, NY; son Scott Brown and his fiancé Amanda Strickland of Poughkeepsie, NY; daughter Christianna Brown of Wappingers, NY; son Donald Brown of Virginia; three brothers Joe Berger of Danbury, CT., John Berger of Bedford, NY., Edward Berger of Aurora, CO., two sisters Pat Spurgen of Poughkeepsie, NY. and Eileen Horn od Aurora, CO. Georgina is also survived by her loving grandchildren Nathan, Leia and Pisie Brown A memorial service will be held on Saturday April 18, 2015 from 1pm to 3pm at the Timothy P.
