Obituary of Dale Miller

Dale R. Miller Sr. of Poughkeepsie, NY with loving wife Joanne of 44 years and loving family at his bedside lost his 15 year battle at Vassar Brothers Hospital May 5, 2015. Dale was born in Acromdale, NY on June 15, 1945 to the late Alva and Catherine Miller. Dale was predeceased by two sisters; Edith and Marge, niece Edith, and brother William. dale is survived by brothers Alvin Miller and Partner Sammy, Robert and Cathy Miller, Johnny Cade, four children Gloria and Dwayne O'Hare, John Rider, Dale R. Miller Jr., Susan and Mackennizi Ross, 10 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, cousins, especially Barbra and Carlos Rodriguez. Several brothers and sisters, in-laws, Arlene and Rodney Louis, Shirley Lasher, Barbra and Ted Ferring, and a very special Judith and Obie Rodgers, god-daughter Tammy Ronk, mother and father in-law Franny and Joseph Veach and Grace Williams. Far too many to list special friends, Techs, PA's, Nurses, case Managers, especially South Circle 5 that helped him with his journey. A very special thanks to Hudson Valley Hematology. A 15 year battle to keep Dale going. love you guys. Dale had a lifetime employment at Bilmar Nursery and a special relationship with long time boss Bryant Rawls. Dale loved to fish with his son and namesake Dale Jr. He loved sports, especially, Yankees, Jeter too, even a beer or two. Calling hours will take place Friday May 8, 2015 at Timothy P.
