Obituary of Barbara Welsh

Barbara A. Welsh 72 of Wappingers died Sunday May 10, 2015 at Mid Hudson Regional Hospital. A local resident all her life, Barbara was born on February 6, 1943 in Poughkeepsie, New York. She was the daughter of the late Leo and the late Marie Ranalli Galli. Barbara was a graduate of Poughkeepsie High School. Barbara was a retired employee of the Wappingers School district where she worked as a secretary. On September 9, 1967 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Barbara married Richard D. Welsh her survives at home. Barbara was a member of St. Mary's Church in Wappingers Falls. She was an avid reader, loved doing cross word puzzles, but most of all loved to spend time with her family. Barbara is survived by her husband Richard D. Welsh of Wappingers, her son David Welsh and his wife Jodi of Beacon, NY., her daughter Christine Massi and her husband Raymond of Beekman, NY. Barbara is also survived by her six grandchildren, Kayla, Matthew, Alex, Jacob, Michael and Lila. Calling hours will be held 4pm to 7pn Thursday May 14, 2015 at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home 371 Hooker Ave. Poughkeepsie, New York 12603. A prayer service will follow at 7pm. Burial will be private at St. Mary's Cemetery in Wappingers, New York.
