Obituary of Ronald E. Ferry

Ronald Edward Ferry, 57, of Wappingers Falls, NY, entered into eternal rest on May 9, 2015 at the Grand Rehabilitation Center in Pawling. He was born in Staten Island, NY. Ronald was the beloved son of Dorothy E. Ferry who passed away on March 7, 2015, and the late Richard K. Ferry. Ronnie is survived by his only sister, Linda (James) Schaffer of LaGrange, NY, his niece and god-daughter Melissa (Jamey) Yanarella, his nephews and god-sons Kenneth (Brittany) Schaffer and Michael (Olga) Schaffer. He is also survived by his grand-nieces Rebecca Schaffer and Maryana Schaffer and his grand-nephews Andrew Yanarella and Ethan Schaffer. Ronnie was a graduate of Wappingers schools and held several certificates from trade schools. He was a machinist at DeLaval in his earlier years. He enjoyed go-carting in Accord, NY, fishing, snowmobiling and small engine repair. Into his final days, he continued to possess his unique sense of humor. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 from 5:00-8:00pm at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. A Memorial Service will be held at 7:30pm during visitation. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the Family.
