Obituary of Janet Swann

Janet Swann, age 65, of Poughkeepsie, died Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center Poughkeepsie, NY. Janet was born December 11, 1949 in Poughkeepsie, NY. She is the daughter of the late James John and Margaret (Metrando) Brandt. She married Brent T. Swann on December 5, 2009 in Poughkeepsie, New York. She was employed by NYSDOT Poughkeepsie NY as a Civil Engineer retiring in 2008. Janet was a member of Hudson Valley Artisans Guild. She was a local resident all her life, she loved to sew, write, cooking and playing games. Janet was very into her crafts and she loves animals. She is survived by her husband: Brent T. Swann of Poughkeepsie, NY., daughter and son inlaw: Jessica and Mark Senatore of Poughkeepsie, NY; her mother Margaret (Metrando) Brandt of Poughkeepsie, NY.; two sisters: Laurie Bocchino of Poughkeepsie, NY, Linda Chamberlain of Ulster Park, NY; she also has one granddaughter, Margaret Senatore of Poughkeepsie, NY and a great nephew , James Anthony Bocchino of Poughkeepsie, NY. Janet was predeceased by her grandson, Vincent Senatore, nephew, Jimmy Bocchino, brother In-law, Tony Bocchino and brother In-law, William Chamberlain. Calling hours will be Monday, May 18, 2015 from 4pm to 8pm at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home , 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY. The funeral will be held 10:00 am on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY. Burial will be in St. Peters Cemetery.
