Obituary of Theresa Driscoll

Theresa Driscoll, age 82, of Poughkeepsie, died Sunday, May 17, 2015 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center Poughkeepsie, NY. Theresa was born December 11, 1932 in Lisdoonvrana, Ireland . She is the daughter of the late Austin and the late Bridget (Donohue) McNamara. She married John Driscoll in Liverpool England, he predeceased by her in 1957. She was a retired employee of Calvin Kleins where she worked as a Seamstress. Theresa loved to knitting, crocheting, crossword puzzles and she was an avid reader. Theresa was known to everyone as Oma She is survived by her son and daughter In-law, Michael and Sarah Driscoll of Poughkeepsie, NY; daughter and son In-law, Rita and Manfred Boenigk of Monroe, NY; eight grandchildren; Karen Biondollilo of Johnson, NY, Steven Boenigk of Yorktown Heights, NY, Kimberly Boenigk of Matamoras PA, Keith Boenigk of Middletown NY; Kristina Vamivakas of Brighton, NY, Megan Mastowsk Cornwall NY, Andrew Driscoll of New Windsor, NY; Joshua Damato of Poughkeepsie, NY and her ten great grandchildren, Talia, Vincent, Gianna, Ryan, Landon; Emily, Samantha, Eleni, Josie and Clare. Theresa was predeceased by her brother, Martin McNamara and her four sisters, Mary Murphy, Bridie Murphy, Ann McNamara and Lena McNamara. Calling hours will be Tuesday, May 19 from 2pm to 4pm at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY. The funeral will be held 4:00 pm on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 following the visitation. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
