Obituary of Mildred Scott

Mildred F. Scott, a long time resident of Poughkeepsie, NY entered into rest on Sunday, May 17, 2015 at Wingate @ Ulster. Born on October 4, 1927, she was the daughter of the late William P. Fells, Sr. and Edith (Burr) Fells. She was a graduate of the Wappingers Central School System. She was a stay at home mother when her children were young and later was very active as a volunteer in many civic organizations in Dutchess County. On December 7, 1963, at Trinity United Methodist Church, she married Edgar W. Scott who predeceased her in 2009. She was also predeceased by her daughter Sheryl I. Storms in 2009 and her son Jerald Scott in 2014. She is survived by brothers William P. Fells, Jr., Charles H. Fells and sisters Barbara Pitt, Dorothy Loguidice and Shirley Dillenbeck. There are no calling hours. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at 10:00am at the Family plot in Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated in her memory to "The Friends of the Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery, Inc." Arrangements are under the direction of the Timothy P.
