Obituary of Robert Meyer

Robert A. Meyer (Bobby), of Wappingers Falls, NY, died June 9, 2015 after a long illness. Born on September 22, 1960; the loving son of Arthur G. Meyer and the late Ellen Meyer (nee Shagner). A local resident for 9 years, Bobby was born in the Bronx, NY and grew up in Seaford, NY. On May 11, 2007 Bobby married the love of his life, Cathy A. Miller, who survives at home. Bobby was a gifted musician and an avid guitar player, as well as a die-hard Yankee fan. He was also a Eucharistic Minister at St. Martin de Porres Church. Bobby is survived by his father Arthur and his sisters; Caroline and her husband Manny Kaneblei, Patricia and her husband Philip Watterson and Joanne and her husband Jay Heme. He was a loving uncle to many nieces, nephews and godchildren. Bobby is survived by numerous loving friends spanning from New Mexico and the Carolinas to New York and New Hampshire. Bobby was co-owner of Curvy Consignments Plus, with his wife Cathy, and was sheet metal lead at Hipotronics in Brewster, NY. Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2015 from 4pm - 8pm at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, June 15, 2015 at 10:00am at St. Martin de Porres Church. Burial will follow in Clove Cemetery, Verbank, N.Y.
