Jean C. Swartz, age 83, of Poughkeepsie, died Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center Poughkeepsie, NY. Jean was born November 2, 1931 in Highland, NY. She is the daughter of the late Bertrum and the late Jennie (Alsdorf) Dimsey. She married William E. Swartz on November 25, 1952 in Danbury Ct.. She was predeceased by her husband, William E. Swartz on May 25, 2002. Jean loved to play Bingo and Parcheesi with her friend Janet. She is survived by daughter and son in-law: Helen and Stephen Veach of Pleasant Valley, NY, daughter: Marion Pisanelli of Poughkeepsie, NY., daughter and son In-law, Janet and Gary Gross of Pleasant Valley, NY; son and daughter In-law, Leonard and Geraldine Swartz of Pleasant Valley, NY; son: Robert Swartz of Poughkeepsie, NY; Grandchildren, Christopher Miller , Jeannie Hill and her husband Chris, Victor Pisanelli III and his wife Lisa, Lyvia Pisanelli, Ashley Gross, Leonard Swartz Jr., Gerald Swartz, Sabrinia Chase; great grandson Connor Hill and daughter In-law, Margie Swartz of Pleasant Valley, NY. Jean was predeceased by her son, William Swartz and son In-law, Victor Pisanelli. Calling hours will be Saturday, August 1, 2015 from 4pm to 8pm at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
