I cried hard when I got the sad news of Frank's death, The world lost a truly great man with his passing. I already miss him so much. He was such a strong man, deep voice and proud Grandpa - with a wonderful sense of humor. . I remember when his granddaughter was born - he wrote and said
In a stunning show of brilliance (taking after her Grandpa already) and a unusual show of female timeliness (tax purposes), Ms. Gianna Rae Ranalli joined the world this morning @ approximately 5:35 AM. I have no details other that she is very healthy and her parents are doing very well. Other info will be forthcoming.......:))) He loved his Grandkids so much and no matter when we talked, he always had a story about them. I pray for them and his father and son at this difficult time.
I've knew Frank at IBM. We worked together on and off for over a decade and a half. He was a dedicated employee that rarely had an unkind remark to share. He became more than a co-worker - he became a dear friend, not just to me but to my family. I'm not sure who was upset more at the news, my wife, or me. While she never met Frank, she knew him well from long phone calls across the miles. He always had a word of encouragement or a different point of view. We would gather around when Frank would call and he always had a story to share. Motorcycle rides to the Sturgis Rally and the Mountains, trips to Florida and Costa Rica. The endless lady friends, till he finally settled down with his one favorite lady. Frank lived life to the fullest and enjoyed it more than most. He was always there when you needed him and always with wise sage advise to share.
Like most, I loved Frank and will dearly miss him. But he is in my heart and I will never forget him. I pray for peace for his family and friends. I wish I could be there today to offer my best and share in the joy he brought into our lives, but New York is a long drive from central Texas. I will have toast his life tonight in memory of all that he gave to us and others. May he rest in peace. Vaya con Dios my friend

I know that if you are here and you are reading this, you think you knew Frank. And you did, somewhat. But that desn't mean that you are alike to all others here. You see, Frank has been many things and many people over many years. His life included many chapters and in each chapter he touched people of entirely different stories. It is the greatest testament to his life that Frank was liked and respected by such a wide variety of people accomplished in their field. A son of the Hudson Valley with family roots both broad but shallow and narrow but deep, he lived the growth, and otherwise of Dutchess County. As a young boy in Glenham, his days spent as if Norman Rockwell himself had posed it. A troop of coonskin capped compadres playing Cowboys and indians, and Cops and Robbers in the woods dawn till dusk. A big brother to Debbie and eventually an older older brother to Lisa, Frank dotted the 'i's and crossed the 't's of "Archtypical Fifties All American Boy." As a tall and lean teen with his father Frank's Italian good looks and his mother Marna's outgoing Irish nature, frank played Baseball as a student at Our Lady of Lourdes High School. Meticulous is a word for Frank and his exacting nature carrier through to all that he did; including his love of hunting. He and his uncle, John Touponse, bonded closely as John taught him the finer points of Hunting and Fishing. Following in his father's footsteps, Frank served his country in the US Navy. After his stint, Uncle John again mentored Frank at Western Publishing. Frank's exacting nature and solid work ethic carved a path for himself, and he was secure to the point where he asked Nancy Robbins to be his bride. And so they settled into Rhinebeck. Then Western Publishing was no more. Frank's chapter had ended and a new one began. This one eventually led him to IBM, where again, his strengths were recognized and he was selected for sponsored educational advancement. Then a new joy came into his life; Vincent. A new and different Frank was here, "Daddy" was added to his already long list of titles. It was his favorite and he fell into the role again and again as the light of a child's smile always lifted his heart. A more gentle and loving Grandfather one could not expect to meet. Doting on his granddaughters, Maddy and Gigi, empahsized the achievement that was his boy, grown to be a fine man, and his wife, Frank's beloved daughter in-law, Rachel. Meticulous is a word for Frank and he did not suffer fools gladly. If you were going to be with Frank you were going to come under his scrutiny, like it or not. But that was just who he was, you didn't have to take it personally. If he hurt your feelings, he didn't mean for them to be hurt, he was just trying to help. Frank also had an easy laugh and he could laugh at himself along with others. He was serious, even in frivolity. He had a soul that exuded warmth in concert with his cool. A Baby Boomer from start to finish, Frank experienced life on his terms. Those of us who have shared some part of it with him know that a very special part of life has been dimmed with his passing. We hope that he enjoyed our company as we enjoyed his. So we grieve not for Frank, but for those hearts which will miss him, this day and every day.
