Obituary of Edith Wilk
Edith Elizabeth Wilk, age 78, of Lagrange, died Saturday, September 12, 2015 at home in Lagrange. Edith was born June 19, 1937 in Poughkeepsie, NY. She is the daughter of the late Alexander Rob and the late Sara Jane (Cambell) Taylor. She married Raymond J. Wilk Sr. on September 20, 1959 at St. Mary's Poughkeepsie, New York. She was employed by Country Grove Child Care in Lagrange, New York. Edith was a local resident all her life and a Graduate of Poughkeepsie High School. Edith loved to Golf, she loved her family, grandchildren and all of the kids she took care of over the years.
She is survived by her husband: Raymond J.Wilk Sr. of Lagrange , son Raymond J. Wilk Jr. and his wife Angela of Highland; daughter Elizabeth Croshier and her companion Steve Saler of Pleasant Valley; daughter Maureen Wilk of Athens, NY son William Wilk and his wife Eileen of Highland; son Sean Wilk and his companion Cindy Whispell of Wappingers; daughter Patricia Van Kleeck and her husband William of Poughkeepsie and her sister in-law, Janet Taylor of Poughkeepsie. Edith is also survived by her grandchildren; Michael, Raiana, Alecia, Nicola, Natasha and Natalia Wilk, Craig Joseph Croshier Jr., Sean Jr., Ashlynn and Raymond Wilk and Kayleigh Van Kleeck as well as Vanessa and Victoria Pratt of highland, NY. Edith was predeceased by her brothers, Alexander Rob Taylor Jr. and John Francis Taylor.
Calling hours will be Tuesday, September 15, 2015 from 4pm to 8pm at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY. There will be a Funeral Service during the Visitation at 7:30pm. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
