Obituary of Peter Mendola

Peter T. Mendola, passed away Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at home surrounded by his family. Born in Poughkeepsie he was the son to the late Santo and Enid Mendola. He worked at IBM East Fishkill for 45 years in Global Procurement until retiring in 2013. Peter was a graduate of Arlington High School. He was on the Lagrange Little League Board and was also the manager of both girls and boys teams. Peter served in the United States Army Reserve 815th station hospital. He was loved by all and cherished his family. Peter loved going to major and minor league baseball stadiums with his sons. He traveled to places like Japan, France, Italy and China. Peter liked to cruise the Panama Canal and Alaska. Peter was a kind loving tender hearted honorable man who never gave up. He was fearless and courageous. Simply the best husband, devoted father and loyal Grandfather " Pappa". At St. Josephs Church on August 30 1970 he married his best friend Donna Buliszyn and just celebrated 45 years of marriage. He is survived by his wife Donna Mendola of Lagrange, NY. His children, Brian Mendola, Justin Mendola of Lagrange NY, daughter, Melissa Macur and husband Al of Marlboro NY, and his favorite grandchildren Carson and Alyssa Macur. Peter is gone but will never be forgotten, his memories will forever be in our hearts. Calling hours will take place Sunday, September 20, 2015 at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home Inc. from 4pm to 8pm with services at 7pm. Graveside services will take place Monday, September 21, 2015 at 11am at St. Josephs Cemetery Poughkeepsie, NY.
