Obituary of Issa Khalil

Issa Khalil, age 79, of Poughkeepsie, died Saturday, November 21, 2015 at Mid Hudson Regional Hospital Poughkeepsie, NY. Issa was born January 1, 1936 in Irbid, Jordan . He is the son of the late Mansour and the late Sadah (Naser) Khalil. He married Huda Fakhouri in 1964 in Jordan. Issa is retired from the Jordanian Army and is a member of St. James Antiochian Orthodox Church. He is survived by his wife: Huda(Fakhouri) Khalil of Poughkeepsie, daughter: Vera Deeb and her husband Issa of Poughkeepsie, son Hani Khalil and his wife Samar of Poughkeepsie, son Haytham Khalil and his wife Areeg of New Mexico, son Fadi Khalil and his wife Amanda of New Mexico, son Muhanad Khalil and his wife Nadia of Poughkeepsie, daughter Ranya Salem and her husband Salem of Arizona. Issa is also survived by 19 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Monday, November 23, 2015 from 4pm to 8pm at St. James Antiochian Orthodox Church, Violet Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY. The funeral will be held 10:30 am on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at St. James Antiochian Orthodox Church, Violet Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY, burial will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery Salt Point Turnpike Poughkeepsie, New York.
