Obituary of William Lillis

William Lillis, age 68, of Hyde Park, died Sunday, November 22, 2015 at home in Poughkeepsie surrounded by his family. William was born September 20, 1947 in Poughkeepsie, NY. He is the son of the late Edward Peter and the late Barbara Ann (Bradley) Lillis Sr. William was married to Vera A. Ryff on August 3, 1974 in Rhinebeck, New York. William served his Country in the United States Army. He was employed by Local 445 Teamster Local. William was a member of St. Mary's Church Poughkeepsie, Local 445, VFW Post 170 and the American Legion Post 1466. William was a local resident all his life, a graduate of Poughkeepsie High School and enjoyed doing wood working He is survived by his wife: Vera A.(Ryff) Lillis of Hyde Park, NY., son and daughter in-law Keith And Megan Lillis of Columbia, SC; daughter and son In-law, Barbara Lillis and Anthony Janulewicz of Milton, NY., son Justin Lillis of Poughkeepsie, NY. and daughter: Kimberly Wilson of Kennesaw, GA. his seven grandchildren, Nicholas, Chase and Morgan Janulewicz, Rachel, Lauren and Cole Lillis and Kylie Wilson. William is also survived by his sister and brother in-law Mary Ann Lillis and Dale Smith of Austin Texas and his brother and sister in-law Kenneth Lillis and Darlene North and several cousins. William was predeceased by his brother Edward Lillis Jr. Calling hours will be Sunday, November 29, 2015 from 2pm to 4pm at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY. The funeral will be held 10:30 am on Monday, November 30, 2015 at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at St. Peters Cemetery, Poughkeepsie, NY.
