Obituary of Leo Davies

Leo W. Davies, age 75, of Pleasant Valley, died Monday, November 30, 2015 at home. Leo was born September 18, 1940 in Poughkeepsie, NY. He is the son of the late Leo and the late Bernice (Prentice) Davies. He married Joan M. Young on April 22, 1961 at Holy Trinity Church Poughkeepsie, New York. Leo served in the United States Navy. He was employed by Standard Gage in Poughkeepsie, NY as the Shop Foreman and he also worked at the Hyde Park School District as a custodian. Leo loved to Fish and Bowl. He is survived by his wife: Joan M.(Young) Davies of Pleasant Valley, NY., son and his partner, Keith Davies and Donovan of Grand Forks, ND., son and daughter In-law, Kenneth and Janice Davies of Pleasant Valley, NY; daughter: Kristina Davies of Poughkeepsie, NY; son and daughter In-law, Kelly and Cathy Davies of Poughkeepsie, NY; son and daughter In-law, Leo and Cherise Davies of Highland, NY; daughter and her partner, Teri Davies and AJ.,of Pleasant Valley, NY; son and daughter In-law, Greg and Amanda Davies of Hyde Park, NY; son and Partner, Darren Davies and Amanda of Poughkeepsie, NY; daughter and son In-law, Lisa and Swain Felder of Poughkeepsie, NY. Leo is also survived by 16 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, brother and sister In-law, Al and Peg Davies of Hyde Park, NY; brother and sister In-law, Gary and Dawn Davies of Hyde Park, NY., and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Thursday, December 3, 2015 from 4pm to 8pm at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY.
