Obituary of Brian J. Bajcar

Brian J. Bajcar, 48, of the town of Hyde Park, passed away December24, 2015 at the Mid Hudson Regional Hospital. Brian was born in Poughkeepsie, NY on November 18, 1967 to George and Karen Sass Bajcar. He was a 1986 graduate of FDR High School and then attended Trade School. Brian served in the US Navy. He was an elevator mechanic for MTA and was a member of Local 138. On June 15, 1990, he married J. Michele Carmelitano in Hyde Park and she survives him at home. Brian was a member of Regina Coeli Church and he loved the outdoors, enjoyed bon fires, concerts and animals. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his mother and father, George and Karen Bajcar of Pompano Beach, FL, his son Justin Michael Bajcar of Poughquag, NY, son, Cody Ryan Bajcar of Poughkeepsie, NY and his daughter Kara Madeline Bajcar of Poughkeepsie. Also surviving are his brother and wife, Scott and Robin Bajcar of Wappingers, brother Shane Bajcar of Hyde Park, and his sister and husband Lisa and Luigi Coppola of Hyde Park, as well as several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 from 4:00-8:00pm at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, December 31, 2015 at 10:00am at Regina Coeli Church in Hyde Park. Burial will follow in St. Peter's Church.
