Obituary of JESUS LAVARIEGA

Jesus A. Lavariega, 19, of Poughkeepsie, NY, passed away on Friday, January 15, 2016 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. Born in Poughkeepsie, NY on February 26, 1996, he was the son of Juan M. Lavariega and Deborah M. Lynch Cruz. Jesus attended Poughkeepsie High School, in which he was a member of the Crew team and Dutchess Community College. He worked at Hannaford's Store in Wappingers Falls, NY in the seafood department. Jesus loved to skateboard and swim. He is survived by his father, Juan Lavariega of Poughkeepsie, his mother and her husband Deborah M. Lynch Cruz and Alejandro of Pine Plains, his companion, Siobhan Clark and his daughter Esmee Lavariega. Jesus is also survived by his grandmother, Eulalia Mendoza of Mexico and his sister Isabella Cruz of Pine Plains, as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Claudia Lopresti, Joseph Lynch and Ernesto Lavariega. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, January 20, 2016, from 4:00-8:00pm at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at 10:00am at St. Mary's Church, Poughkeepsie, NY.
