Obituary of Joan T. Locke

Joan T. Locke, age 83, of Poughkeepsie, died Friday, January 15, 2016 at Quaker Hill Manor of Hyde Park, NY. Joan was born December 4, 1932 in Poughkeepsie, NY. She is the daughter of the late George and the late Dorothy (Denning) Thorne. On June 23, 1977 in Connecticut Joan married Irving W. Locke, he predeceased her on December 24, 2002 Joan was a lifelong area resident and a graduate of Arlington High School Class of 1950. Joan is survived by her daughter Beverly Bowen of Bronx, New York, her son Timothy Bowen of Arizona, five grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Joan was predeceased by her son Gerald Bowen and her daughter Susan Bowen Fiore. Burial will be in Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery, Poughkeepsie on Monday January 25, 2016 with a Graveside service starting at 12pm. The family would like to thank the staff of 3 Cooke and 5 Cooke at the Mid Hudson Regional Hospital and also the staff at Quaker Manor for the great care given to their mother.
