Obituary of Paul Williams

Paul B. Williams, age 87, of Poughkeepsie, died Monday, February 1, 2016 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center Poughkeepsie, NY. Paul was born March 16, 1928 in Troy, NY. He is the son of the late Donald Z. and the late Martha (Getman) Williams. He married Suzanne Irons on October 13, 1974 in Poughkeepsie, New York. Paul was a graduate of Poughkeepsie High School and also a graduate of RPI the Class of 1950. Paul was employed by IBM Poughkeepsie as an Engineer retiring in 1988. Formerly a member of the 1st Presbyterian Church in Poughkeepsie, Paul then became a member of the Freedom Plains United Presbyterian Church in Lagrangeville and he served as a Deacon and an Elder of the Church. Paul was also a member of the Model Train Collectors Association and the Mid Hudson Radio Control Club. Paul is survived by his wife: Suzanne(Irons) Williams of Poughkeepsie, NY ; son and daughter In-law, Jeffrey D. and Chelle Williams of Issaquah, WA; son and daughter In-law, Kevin P. and Anne Williams of Aurora, CO; daughter and son In-law, Jennifer A. and Drew Barry of Poughkeepsie, NY; son and daughter In-law, Jonathan S. and Maura McAnney of Gibsonia, PA; son and daughter In-law, James B. and Quinn McAnney of Montgomery, NY; brother and sister In-law, Bruce and Jeannine Williams of Poughkeepsie, NY; sister and brother In-law, Ruth and Albert Maher of Poughkeepsie, NY.; Eleven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held 12:00 pm on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery, 342 South Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY. A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at Freedom Plains United Presbyterian Church, Route 55, Lagrangeville, NY.
