Obituary of Jon Cronk

After 5 long years of fighting and struggling, Jon's battle with cancer ended on March 9th at the Calvary in the Bronx, he was 39 years old. Jon worked as a pipefitter for Metro North in Croton NY. He always had a tremendous ability to work on anything from cars, to welding, mechanical, electrical, and did it with ease and perfection. He had an infectious sense of humor even up to his final days that left an imprint on everyone he knew and met. On August 18, 2012, Jon married the love of his life and best friend, Jenny Cronk, who supported him and cared for him throughout his courageous battle. Jon is predeceased by his parents, Harry and Sandy Cronk, who also lost their battles with cancer. He is survived by his sisters, Jill Cunningham and her husband Tim, of Lakeville, CT, Leslie Cronk of Poughkeepsie NY, his nieces Emma and Jayme Walsh, his nephew Timmy Cunningham, his loving mom-in-law Veronica Anzalone and his dear friends Kevin Oxford and Brian Walsh, several aunts, uncles and cousins. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 15th from 4pm-8pm at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, 371 Hooker Avenue, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. In lieu of flowers, donations will be greatly appreciated to help with funeral expenses. Jon, you are finally at peace, YOP.
