Obituary of Virginia M. Moyer

Virginia M. Moyer, age 84, of Poughkeepsie, died Saturday, March 12, 2016 at River Valley Care Center Poughkeepsie, NY. Virginia was born October 22, 1931 in Bronx she is the daughter of the late Frank and the late Elsa (Goerhring) DeGer. She married Arthur H. Moyer Sr. on March 17, 1949 at First Congregational Church in Poughkeepsie. She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur H. Moyer Sr. in February of 2000. She was employed by St. Francis Hospital Poughkeepsie NY as a transporter. She is survived by her daughter and son in-law: Mary Ann and Carmine Sorci of Poughkeepsie, NY, daughter Katherine M. Moyer of Poughkeepsie, NY, son: Arthur H. Moyer Jr. of Hyde Park, NY; sister: Ruth Lauria of Hyde Park, NY brother: Walter Deger of Hopewell Junction, NY and eight grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Virginia was also predeceased by her daughter, Linda Figueroa and her brothers, Frank Deger Jr. and Charles Deger. Calling hours will be Thursday, March 17 from 10am to 11am at Timothy P.
