Apex, NC - Robert D. Banks of Apex, NC passed away. March 19, 2016 after a two year battle with cancer. Born, March 13, 1944 in Bud, West Virginia. Robert was predeceased by his father John Banks Sr. and Mother Medina Head. Robert is survived by his Daughters, Kelly Banks of Apex, NC, Gwendolyn Banks of Poughkeepsie, NY, Cassandra Banks of Apex NC, his son Robert D. Banks Jr. and Wife Amanda of Vicksburg, MS. his siblings, Ray Banks of Port Ewen, NY Madeline Robinson of Poughkeepsie, NY Thurman Banks and Wife Marilyn of Fredericksburg, VA, John Banks Jr. of Poughkeepsie, NY, Sherman Head and wife Cindy of Richmond, VA, Nina Head of Fayetteville, NC, Elizabeth Head of Colorado, Dorethea Head and Dorothy Lane both of Poughkeepsie, NY, 6 Grandchildren and 12 Great-Grandchildren and a host of Nieces and Nephews. Robert retired from IBM in Poughkeepsie, NY after 30 years of Service. His passions were Classic Cars, Football, OTB, Motorcycles, Music and Dancing. Robert was everyone's Friend, Grandfather and Uncle. He was full of life and loved to make people laugh. Services will be held at Timothy Doyle Funeral 371 Hooker Ave. Poughkeepsie, NY 12603 on March 28, 2016 from 11am to 1pm.
