Catherine E. O'Keefe, age 72, of Poughkeepsie, died Friday, March 25, 2016 Peacefully at home. Catherine was born May 29, 1943 in Yonkers, NY. She is the daughter of the late Herbert and the late Anne (Clark) Sweeney. She married Edward O'Keefe on January 26, 1963 at Yonkers, New York he survives at home. She was employed by Shop Rite Wappingers, NY as a Cashier. Catherine like to bird watch and read. She is survived by her husband: Edward O'Keefe of Poughkeepsie, NY, her daughter: Robin O'Keefe of Hyde Park, NY and three sons: Edward O'Keefe Jr. and his wife Cecily of Schehalis, WA, Michael O'Keefe of Poughkeepsie, NY, Terence O'Keefe of Poughkeepsie, NY; ; she also has five grandsons, Daniel, Shawn, Miles, Kristopher, Conor O'Keefe and her sister In- law, Julia Sweeney. Catherine was predeceased by her brother, Stanley Sweeney. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:00 am on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at St. Martin DePorres Church, Cedar Valley Road, Poughkeepsie, NY. with of Burial will be Private and at the convenience of the family..
