Obituary of Christopher Jasinski

Christopher D. Jasinski, age 63, of Poughkeepsie, died Friday, April 1, 2016 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center of Poughkeepsie, NY. Chris was born October 10, 1952 in Poughkeepsie, NY. He is the son of the late Edward J. and Ruth (Becker) Jasinski. Chris first worked at the Town of Poughkeepsie Highway Department before going to work at Central Hudson where he was employed by Dynegy formerly Danscamer retiring in 2011. A graduate of Arlington High School Class of 1970. Chris loved being with his family and friends, he was always the life of the party and was loved by all who knew him. He was also a avid sports and METS fan. He is survived by three daughters: Erica Knapp of Hyde Park, NY, Diane Jasinski of Poughkeepsie, NY and Jessica Jasinski of Poughkeepsie, NY, his son: Jake Jasinski of Poughkeepsie, NY; his mother Ruth (Becker) Jasinski of Pleasant Valley, sister Sharon Simmons of Pleasant Valley and his friend Angela Jasinski. Chris was also survived by his two grandchildren Camden and Carter Knapp. Chris was predeceased by his father Edward J. Jasinski and his brother brother, Joseph E. Jasinski. Calling hours will be Wednesday, April 6, 2016 from 4pm to 6:30pm at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY. A memorial service will be held 6:30 pm follow the calling hours. Burial will be Private and at the convenience of the family at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery, Poughkeepsie. New York.
