Obituary of Frances Dondlinger

Frances Dondlinger, 82 of Poughkeepsie, NY, passed away after a brief illness on Monday, April 11, 2016 at Mid Hudson Regional Hospital at Westchester Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. Frances was born on September 13, 1933 in Poughkeepsie, NY to the late Angelo Bonahue and Catharine Casaburo . A local resident all of her life, Frances was educated at Poughkeepsie Schools and married Richard W. Dondlinger on September 28, 1963 at St. Mary's Church in Wappingers Falls, NY. He predeceased her on March 11, 1999. As well as a homemaker, Frances was also a volunteer for a number of organizations. She was a poll monitor, transported cancer patients to doctors appointments through the American Cancer Society and volunteered at Birth Right in Poughkeepsie. Frances was a member of the Senior Center at St. Martin de Porres, bowled with the Rainbow Bowling League for many years and while her children were younger, she helped as a lunch lady at Titusville Elementary School. Frances enjoyed traveling to new and different destination and loved the ocean. Frances is survived by her daughter, Lisa A. (Larry) Anthony of Hyde Park, NY a son, Mark R. Dondlinger of Poughkeepsie, NY granddaughter, Madison N. Anthony and grandson, Jarrett L. Anthony. Also surviving is her brother, Edward T. (Lyn) Bonahue of Pittsboro, NC and a sister, Carol Ann Menconeri of Wappingers Fall, NY as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband Richard, Frances is predeceased by her brother-in-law, Tony Menconeri. Calling hours will be on Friday, April 15, 2016 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, Inc. 371 Hooker Avenue, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at 9:30am at St. Martin de Porres Church.
