Obituary of Ann Craig
Ann (Cummings) Craig, age 74, of Poughkeepsie and Brooklyn, New York, died on Thursday, April 21, 2016. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ann V. (Coyne) Cummings and John A. Cummings, her sister and brother-in-law Joan (Cummings) and Ed Stanton. Ann leaves behind her sister and brother-in-law, Jane (Cummings) and Theodore Peluso and her brother John A. Cummings, Jr. Ann is also survived by her three children, their spouses and her grandchildren: Edward Craig and his wife Irene and their son Vincent; Richard Craig and his partner Robert Deeb Jr. and Ann (Craig) D'Amato and her husband Vincent and their children, Vincent, Anna, Nicole and Thomas. She also loved being an Aunt to numerous nieces and nephews.
Ann's greatest love was her children and friends, which was multiplied by the addition of her five grandchildren. She adored being their Nana. Ann spent more than a decade in Palm Bay, Florida but her heart always remained in Brooklyn. She followed her children up to the Hudson Valley so she could be a closer part of their lives.
Ann earned her Registered Nursing Degree from Manhattan College and worked in different fields of nursing. She was an RN in Community Hospital in Brooklyn. Ann continued her nursing career in Geriatric Care in Far Rockaway and Florida.
Ann was loved by all for whom she provided care.
Arrangements under the direction of Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, 371 Hooker Avenue, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. The wake is being held on Thursday, April 28th from 2:00-5:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m.
Funeral mass on Friday, April 29th, 10:30 a.m. at St. Denis Parish, 602 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction, NY 12533.
Ann will be laid to eternal rest on Friday at Holy Cross Cemetery, 3620 Tilden Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11203
