Obituary of Jayden Crawford

Jayden Isiah Crawford, 4, of Poughkeepsie, NY was granted his angel wings on April 23, 2016 at Westchester Medical Center at approximately 12:00 p.m. Jayden was born on April 27th, 2011 at Vassar Hospital in Poughkeepsie, NY to Niema Simpson and Dwayne Crawford. Jayden had so many things he had the ability to accomplish. Everyday, he wanted to follow his brother to school. He couldn't wait to go and learn. Jayden was a pre-Kindergarten student at the Early Learning Center at W.W. Smith School in Poughkeepsie, NY where he was able to start learning and be a purpose on this earth prior to his passing. Jayden had a great impact on everyone that he encountered. He was curious, loving, playful, and empathetic. He brought great joy to others with his hugs and kisses. Jayden loved spending time with his siblings, mother and father. He enjoyed playing in the park and making home videos. Ninja Turtles and watching television were also things that he enjoyed. Jayden is survived by his parents, Niema Simpson and Dwayne Crawford, brothers, Joshua & Kashaine and sister, Chimorah. He also leaves behind several aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents. A wake service will be held on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral home located at 371 Hooker Avenue, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral service for Jayden Crawford will be held on Friday, May 6, 2016 at Beulah Baptist Church located at 92 Catharine Street, Poughkeepsie, NY 12604 from 10:00-11:00 am.; burial will follow at the Kensico Cemetery located in Valhalla, NY.
