Very few professions boast a sense of fraternity that one feels in the fire service. John's story epitomizes that sense of brotherhood that echoes in fire departments around the Hudson Valley. He was more involved than people truly knew. I, and so many others will miss John, a good husband, father, and fellow firefighter who put his hands out in helping others. On behalf of the Volunteer Fire Police Association of Dutchess County's membership and my family, genuine and heartfelt condolences Joanne, John J., Sarajane, and Dennis.
