Obituary of Helen Ward

Helen Cecelia Taylor Ward died June 21,2016. She was born Sept. 22, 1927 in Beacon N.Y, daughter of Robert and Helen McCarroll Taylor. In 1947 she married James E. Ward , who pre-deceased her. She is survived by 4 daughters and one son; Lorraine Olivero and spouse Jaime, Susan Ward, Barbara Leo and spouse Tony, Patricia Dibra, and her favorite Lance Ward. Helen was the proud Grandma of 12 and Great Grandma of 11. She really loved her dog Romeo who lived to be 18..Helen worked at Western Printing for over 20 yrs and then at Merchants Press for 15 yrs. She loved her family with all her heart She loved Elvis and horses and the old classic movies. All of her children agree that she was very loving and dedicated to her family and found time to acknowledge each one and never forgot a birthday or anniversary or any occasion. Helen was a strong, witty woman with a great sense of humor. She will be missed. Visitation will be held on Wednesday June 29, 2016 from 10am to 11am at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home 371 Hooker Ave. Poughkeepsie, New York 12603. A Memorial Service will follow at 11am with Burial to take place at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery.
