John, Laura and Family: From the Mengel Family -- our sincerest condolences on your Mom's passing. We have very fond memories of your Mom (& Dad) while growing up in Mount Beacon Park in the 1970s. Besides the day-to-day of hanging around your house, my brother Bill and I fondly remember the numerous treks your Mom took us on to both Shea and Yankee stadium. Fond memories indeed! Dear John, Patti, Corey and Shannon- We are sending our loving thoughts and prayers to you at this difficult time. It was always a treat to sit next to Edith as she cheered Shannon on at basketball and softball games. It was clear how much she enjoyed her grandchildren and how proud she was.
