Obituary of Robert Hill

Robert B. Hill, age 78, of Poughkeepsie,NY., died Sunday, August 7, 2016 at Elant At Fishkill. Robert was born on November 8, 1937 in Poughkeepsie, NY. He is the son of the late Carroll E. and the late Lenora (Getter) Hill. He married Barbara J. Jones on December 3, 1961 in Poughkeepsie. He was predeceased by his wife, Barbara J. Jones on May 1974. Robert was also married to Lorraine McNair-Hill she also predeceased him. In 1992 he retired from City Of Poughkeepsie where he was a foremen in the Department of Public Works. Robert enjoyed Jazz Music and family gatherings. He is survived by seven daughters: Linda Turnquest of Poughkeepsie, NY, Cheryl Hill of Poughkeepsie, NY, Lois Hill of Clifton Park, NY, Carolyn Butler of Lithonia, GA, Barbara (Delton) Johnson of Lithonia, GA, Karen Hill of Poughkeepsie, NY and Michele James of Glasco, NY, and two sons: David (Karen) Turnquest of Austin, TX and Bruce (Cassandra) Hill of Covington, GA, Stepdaughter, Christine McNair of Albany, NY; Stepson, Gregory (Carmen) McNair of Poughkeepsie, NY., many brothers, sisters, nieces and nephew. Robert was predeceased by his Stepson, George McNair. Calling hours will be Friday, August 12, 2016 from 11:30 am to 12:30pm at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY. Funeral Services will follow at 1230pm. Burial will be in Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery, Poughkeepsie New York.
