Obituary of Rose Kearney

Rose M. Kearney, age 92, of Poughkeepsie, died Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center of Poughkeepsie, NY. Rose was born October 9, 1923 in Poughkeepsie, NY. She is the daughter of the late Charles H. and the late Katherine F. (Wermuth) Madison. She married Francis G. Kearney Jr. on May 14, 1949 at St. Peters Church. She was predeceased by her husband, Francis G. Kearney Jr. on March 12, 2001. She was employed by Dutchess County Board Of Elections where she worked as a Secretary. Rose was also previously employed at the DeLaval Separator and St. Peter's Rectory. Rose was a local resident all of her life. She was a member of St. Peter's Parish, American Diabetes Association, American Heart Association, CSEA, St. Peter's Rosary Society, Alzheimer's Association and AARP She is survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and many cousins. Rose was predeceased by her three brothers Charles E. Madison, Leonard T. Madison, James P. Madison and her two sisters Charlotte M. Mackey and Catherine Kimlyn. Funeral Services and Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
