Obituary of Richard Simmons

Richard Simmons, age 85, of Poughkeepsie, died Thursday, August 25, 2016 at Wingate At Ulster of Highland , NY. Richard was born August 18, 1931 in Wappingers Falls, NY. He is the son of the late James and the late Violet (Delaney) Simmons. Richard was predeceased by his two wives, Lucy Angelo and Marian Flynn. Richard was a local resident all of his life. He served in the United States Army from 1952 til 1954. Richard was a retired employee of Khem Prene in Beacon NY . He is survived by his stepchildren Christine Eagan of Poughkeepsie, Rose Sharon Brink of Staatsburg, Jennifer Carderelli of Poughkeepsie and Vincent Komer of Beacon. Richard was also predeceased by James Simmons. Calling hours will be Tuesday, August 30, 2016 from 10am to 12pm at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY. The funeral service will be held 12:00 pm. Burial will follow the services at St. Peters Cemetery, Poughkeepsie.
