Obituary of Charles Harden
. Charles (Chuck) R. Harden 87, passed away peacefully at home on October 10, 2016, surrounded by loved ones. He was born on April 14, 1929 and was raised in Bristol, CT. Upon high school graduation, Chuck joined the Navy and served for 4 years during the Korean War. He was a graduate of the Connecticut State Technical Institute and also attended Hillyer College and Northeastern University. Chuck was employed by IBM for 30 years at various locations, including a two-year assignment in France. He retired as a project manager.
Chuck was married to his beloved wife Jeanne for 62 years who survives at home. He is also survived by his daughter Patricia Tobias and son in-law Tommy in Texas. He was predeceased by his son Thomas in 2013. Chuck is also survived by his grandchildren Taylor and wife Bre, Alyson and husband Mitch, Paige, and Brandon and one great-grandchild Isabella.
Chuck was involved in coaching little league sports, was a boy scout leader and was himself an Eagle Scout. He was an avid boater and enjoyed spending time at his summer residence in Cape Cod. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor.
Chuck was a member of St. Martin dePorres Catholic Church. Funeral arrangements are private. Burial will be in the Family Plot at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Bristol CT.
