Obituary of Tammy Gioia

Tammy L. Gioia, age 48, of Hyde Park, New York died Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at home surrounded by her loving family. Tammy was born September 19, 1968 in Carmel, NY. She is the daughter of Roger A. and Wendy J. (VanCoughnett) Mayes. She married Craig Gioia on July 24, 1994 in Highland, New York. Tammy was a local resident all of her life. She was a graduate of SUNY Oneonta and SUNY New Paltz were she received her Masters Degree in Education. Tammy Boy's were her life and she never once missed a Sporting event that either of them participated in. Tammy's other past time was she always enjoyed going to the gym. She is survived by her husband: Craig Gioia of Hyde Park, NY., her sons: Bryce A. and Connor D. Gioia of Hyde Park, NY; her father and mother Roger and Wendy J. Mayes; her sisters and their husbands: Laurie and Joseph Pelkofski of Cape Corral, FL and Sondra And Patrick Cullimore of Pawling, NY, her brother and his wife: Roger K. and Selina Mayes of Cape Corral, FL; her mother in-law, Frances Gioia of Poughkeepsie, NY; her sister in-law, Robin Moore of Albany, NY; her brother in-law, Scott Gioia of New York, NY and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Sunday, November 13, 2016 from 3pm to 7pm at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY. The funeral will be held 10:00 am on Monday, November 14, 2016 at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY. Entombment will follow the services at St. Peters Cemetery, Poughkeepsie, New York. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hudson Valley Hospice 374 Violet Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY 12601.
