Obituary of Peter W. Dourdis

Peter W. Dourdis, age 81, of Poughkeepsie, died Saturday, December 24, 2016 at home in Poughkeepsie Peter was born November 1, 1935 in Greece, . He is the son of the late Vasili and the late Angeliki Dourdis. He married Georgia Papastrat she predeceased him. Peter was employed by Hudson River State Hospital as a Cook. Peter was a local resident for over 63 years previously from Greece. He was a member of the Kimisis Greek Orthodox Church and a member of AHEPE. He is survived by son In-law, Jerry Duffy of Poughkeepsie, NY; his grandson, Christopher Sean Duffy of Poughkeepsie, NY; his great grandson, Christopher Jace Duffy of Poughkeepsie, NY and his nephew William and JoAnn Dourdis of Salt Point, NY. Peter is also survived by several other nieces and nephews Peter was predeceased by his daughter Angela Duffy, his sister, Georgia Karides, and brother, Harry Dourdis. Calling hours will be Friday, December 30, 2016 from 10:30am to 12pm at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY. The funeral will follow the calling hours at 12:00 pm.
