Obituary of Stephen G. Hein

Stephen G. Hein passed on December 25, 2016, in Vassar hospital, after fighting a long battle with cancer. Stephen was born July 23, 1946 to the parents Rose and George Hein. Stephen is survived by his 3 children, Stephen Hein, Tina Hein, Thomas Hein, and 8 grandchildren. Stephen is also survived by several nieces and nephews, leaves behind a brother Michael Hein, and is predeceased by his sisters Judy and Linda. Stephen was a long time resident of Ulster County and a graduate of Wallkill Central School District. Stephen served in the U.S. Army, honorably discharged in 1972. Stephen had a love of cars and racing, a passion he shared with his brother Michael and longtime friends Duane Mickle, Bill Sisti, and Jim Palen. Stephen will be remembered for his innate ability to make everyone laugh. A graveside services will be held at St. Charles Boromeo Cemetery, on Saturday January 7, 2017 at noon. The children would like to thank friends and family, who have helped out, and shared their kind words. In lieu of flowers and cards, donations to Hospice of Orange and Sullivan County, or Wounded Warriors would be appreciated. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Timothy P.
