Obituary of Michael Andrews
Michael Andrews of Elizaville, NY died Saturday, January 14, 2017 at Rosary Hill Home, Hawthorne, NY. Born in Poughkeepsie, NY, the son of the late Donald Vincent Andrews and the late Lee Cecelia (Kuklin) Andrews, he was a local resident all his life. He was married to Jacqueline (Jackie) Noll who survives him.
Michael was a graduate of Dutchess Community College. Born to produce and broker lumber he was a past Director at AC Dutton Lumber (Poughkeepsie) and a past co-owner of Circle M. Wood Treating (Beacon) and other spin-off entities. Most recently in retirement he managed MJ Lumber Inc. (Elizaville).
Michael was a member of the Red Hook Rhinebeck ELKS Lodge 2022, a past member of The Pirate Canoe Club in Poughkeepsie, and a past member of the North Eastern Lumber Association.
Michael contributed intelligence, optimism, energy, and good cheer to life. Michael loved to golf, swim, and relax by the lake. There he shared many good times with family and friends.
In addition to Jackie, Michael is survived by his daughters Shannon Andrews of Jacksonville, FL., Christine Andrews of Austin, TX, his two sons Ryan Andrews of Jacksonville, FL., and Sean Andrews and his companion Sarah of Millerton, NY, his sister Carolyn DeNovio of Elizaville, NY, his brother David Andrews of Parishville, NY, his stepdaughter Melissa Royall and her husband Greg, his good friend Tony Daniele, and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Rosary Hill Home, 600 Linda Ave., Hawthorne, NY or to the Red Hook-Rhinebeck ELKS Lodge 2022, 7711 Albany Post, Road Red Hook, NY 12571 for their Golf Tournament to help our Veterans.
A memorial celebration of his life will be held at The Pirate Canoe Club in Poughkeepsie, NY on Wednesday, January 18, 2017, from 4:30PM to 8:00PM. Friends and family welcome.
