I know Dr. Scarvalone's life was well lived because I know some of his children. His legacy is etched in them. He clearly lived a wonderful, useful and loving life. I am grateful that Dr. Scarvalone and his wife raised caring people who from many years I call my friend.

I have many fond memories of Uncle Eddie as a young boy and all our trips to Poughkeepsie. Some of our best times were spent together around the dinner table eating and laughing. He was always an inspiration to me for a life well lived. I always listened to all of his advice and it never let me down. He will be greatly missed and his memory will always be in our hearts.

Dear Scarvalone Family and Sue Heupler ,
Very sorry for your tremendous loss. Ed was such a wonderful man and almost like a father to me. I looked up to him and he always had kind words for me and my family. I'll miss his expert care and our walks down memory lane for sure. May God bless you all and until you all meet again.

We are saddened by the passing of Uncle Ed. He and my dad, Joe, shared a close connection as brothers. Their jokes and phone calls were a joy to each. Times shared at our grandparents' bungalow in Harris recall everyone squashed around the table - Ed, Polly, Grandpa, Grandma, Al, Lucy, Bob, Jeanne, Ed, and occasionally Joe and Fran... as well as all the kids. I only wish we'd had more family times together.
Thanks, Uncle Ed, for the kindness and love you showed me as your niece, for the support you gave when dad passed, and for the love you showed throughout the years.
We will miss you.

Dr Ed Scarvalone, you were my foster dad when I came to live at 5 Bobrick Road Poughkeepsie in the 1960s for a year as an exchange student. Not only did you remain my dad, but were also my friend, philosopher and guide. You gave me love and affection unlimited. You treated me as a member of the Scarvalone family, and I felt so proud and happy because of this. I am deeply saddened you have left us. I will miss you so much, Dad!

We were saddened to hear the news of Ed's passing. Although we didn't see Ed often, it was always a pleasure when we did. After we retired we had a chance to spend a lovely evening in his company. Fran and Joe, Brian and I drove over to Poughkeepsie. We all went to dinner and enjoyed many laughs and great conversation. It was particularly memorable to see the two brothers enjoying each others company- something that age and miles kept them from doing very often. We will always remember Ed fondly. May he rest in peace. Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to all the family on your loss. Sincerely- Nancy and Brian Sanford
