Obituary of Brian P. Lanigan

Brian P. Lanigan, age 35, of Poughkeepsie, died Tuesday, February 7, 2017.Brian was born July 15, 1981 in Poughkeepsie, NY. He is the son of Stanley and Margaret "Peggy" J. (Dolan) Lanigan. Brian was a local resident all of his life. Brian was a graduate of Our Lady of Lourdes High School and a graduate of SUNY New Paltz. He was a member of the Ancient Order of the Hibernia. Brian was very involved and a volunteer with Birth Right and Catholic Charities, he loved his religion and was a devout Catholic. Brian was also a avid GIANTS fan. Brian is survived by his father and mother Stanley and Margaret "Peggy" J. Lanigan; his brother Laurence P. Lanigan of Poughkeepsie, NY; his sister and brother In-law, Katherine M. and Shane Egan of Poughkeepsie, NY; his brother and sister In-law, Brendan and Mary Lanigan of Wappingers, NY, his four nieces Claire, Brigid, Margaret and Mairead and nephew Padraig. Brian was very loved and had many friends in the Poughkeepsie Area. Calling hours will be Friday, February 10, 2017 from 4pm to 8pm at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:00 am on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Our Lady Of The Rosary Church St. Peters Parish, 185 Hudson View Drive, Poughkeepsie, NY. Burial will be in St. Peters Cemetery, Poughkeepsie, New York.
