Obituary of James S. Adams

James S. Adams of Poughkeepsie, NY passed away on February 8, 2017 at the age of 40. He is survived by his father, Simon John Adams, his sister, Angela Adams and husband Lawrence Shirley, his brother, Shawn Palmer and wife Theresa, his grandmother, Doris King Adams, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his mother, Melody Adams, his paternal grandfather, Ralph R. Adams, and his maternal grandparents, Doris and Samuel Swartz. Jamie was well-known for his tireless pursuit of knowledge. His aptitude for technology, science, and mechanics was a gift second only to his charm and sense-of-humor. He spent much of his early life working side-by-side with his father and grandfather at Adams Fairacre Farms. More recently, he enjoyed spending time with his family, reading, and studying photography and politics. His unique perspective on life will be greatly missed. Calling hours will be held On Monday February 13, 2017 from 4pm to 7pm at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home 371 Hooker Ave. Poughkeepsie, New York 12603.
