Obituary of Jane Quattrochi

Jane Quattrochi, age 65, of Poughkeepsie, died Thursday, March 2, 2017 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center Poughkeepsie, NY. Jane was born September 21, 1951 in Yonkers, NY. She is the daughter of the late William F. and the late Evelyn (Gallagher) Young. She married Charles Quattrochi on October 21, 1972 at St. Denis Church Yonkers, New York. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles Quattrochi on February 24, 2017. She was the owner of Shear Success and Beauty Parlor in Highland New York for over 20 years. Jane was a member of Holy Trinity Church. She was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School in Yonkers Class of 1969. While growing up she was known as the neighborhood mom to all the kids in the area. Jane loved the Color Purple. Sunday was a big family day where everyone came over and Jane cooked for the family. Christmas Eve was her most favorite Holiday, She had a open door policy where everyone would stop by eat and be with family and friends. She loved to cook, gardening, enjoyed playing cards once a week, loved doing hair and most of all she loved being with her grandson Gianni "he was her strength and her world." She is survived by her daughter Lisa Quattrochi of Poughkeepsie, NY, her grandson, Gianni Franchesco of Poughkeepsie, NY, sister in-law, Mary Quattrochi of Dover Plains, NY and several nieces and nephews, many cousins and lifelong friends. Jane was predeceased by her son, Steven Quattrochi, sister, Ellen Young Buffone, brother, Guy McCarthy, and brother In-law, Raymond Quattrochi. Calling hours will be Tuesday, March 7, 2017 from 5pm to 8pm at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY. Funeral services will be held 7:30 pm during the calling hours.
